Planning a session is scary, will you help guide us through the process?
Planning photos can always be a daunting task. Fortunately, I do have a guide, questionnaire and a Pinterest board full of outfit inspiration. I also love looking over your outfit choices to help choose the best one.
I am awkward in front of camera and my kids don't sit still, will you tell us what to do?
Most uneasy feelings about planning a session go away with my Welcome Guide sent first. During your session I will not focus on standing still and staring into my lens with a forced smile. I will naturally pose for a few formals throughout but they are not my focus, which helps with the whole, sitting still part. I utilize a handful of prompts that help guide you in natural connections with your family. Trust me and I promise you will get great, authentic memories.
Do you have preferred locations?
I do have locations I love using, but if you have a specific location in mind I am happy to work it out.
My house is a wreck, do you have another indoor location we can use?
First off, messy homes happen, it's where we LIVE! I can understand not wanting to scrub the whole house, how exhausting, so all you need to do is send me some pics of your rooms and I will help decide which one has the best light, and only clean THAT room. If you really do not want to use your house, we can use a relatives home, or rent a space, but your home makes for more comfortable environment for you and your children and keep your images authentic.
Do you have props?
I have a wooden bowl I bring to in-home newborn sessions to get a more formal portrait. I focus on your connections with one another rather than props and posing, although minimal props of your own can typically be worked into your session.
Why should I hire a birth photographer?
Birth is such an empowering and cosmic experience. Though labor can take a long time, there is a lot going on that can easily be forgotten due to exhaustion and focus. Yes you can leave the responsibility to dad, but there is a lot going on for him as well. With me there, dad can focus on you and and you can focus on bringing that little love earth side, and rest assure knowing I will capture all the moments.
What is a Fresh 48 session?
A Fresh 48 session is an intimate documentary style session done in the hospital. This is perfect for those interested in preserving all those first few moments of meeting your little love for the first time, after all the labor stuff is over.
Do you offer payment plans?
I require a non-refundable retainer fee at the time of booking to save your date and time, and the remaining balance is due at the start of your session. If you need a structured payment plan I will work one out with you.

In- home sessions are scheduled early to mid day . Outdoor sessions are scheduled one hour before sunset, unless discussed otherwise.
Full Sessions are all-inclusive and typically yield 50-150 edited images depending on the session.
A non-refundable retainer fee is required at the time of booking to save your date and time . Your session date is not booked until this fee has been received. If it is not received within 48 hours, your invoice will be cancelled and your date will be released. Your final balance is due by the beginning of your sessions.
